The pics below are postcards I took from my virtual tour in Jaipur, India, also known as the “Pink City”. The terracotta pink (which gives the city its nickname) on all the buildings in the city is an edict from a king, Sawai Rahm Singh. If you look closely, you will see some Macaques scaling the walls of the palace.
Many of the stores you see have residences above them which allowed business owners to serve customers any time of day in years past. The business practices of today are different, though. There are set hours for customers to visit shops.
The flowers you see in one of the last pictures are sold to be an offering to one of the nearby temples.
