My Different and Beautiful Friend
Okba and I have been friends for a couple years now. He is a very devout Muslim from Tunisia who worries about the salvation of my soul. We have had many discussions related to Islam over the years and while I am not Muslim, he chooses to respect my beliefs – because I am human. Okba is a wonderful human who enjoys his life and manages to capture beauty in everything around him. He is also one of the most amazing souls I have ever encountered.
Okba was born into a small family and raised the same way many American families raise their children. He went to school, grew up with his brother, his parents worked, he was taught morals and values, and explored life. His mother worked as a secretary and his father worked as a factory laborer. He graduated high school, went on to college, and earned Bachelor’s degrees in both economics and literature.
Okba has a world perspective that is beautiful and positive. He is supportive, kind, compassionate, understanding, and protective. He values his family, friends, and way of life. While he acknowledges the world has many different cultures, he greatly enjoys the experience of his own lifestyle.
Fruits of Sharing the World
Okba has always been gracious enough to share with me the beautiful moments in time he captures with his camera. The landscape in Tunisia is breathtaking – and I am in love with the nature there. The only way to express the awe of Tunisia is to show you:

I enjoy my friendship with Okba and hope it lasts for many years to come. I love all the beauty of Tunisia and life that he shares with me. I hope that you, too, find a friend around the globe who will be kind enough to share aspects of their life with you, as well.
Until next time…
Love and Peace,
